Antique Clarified Horn Hairpin With Metal Filigree Top. Base of hairpin is clarified horn as well as the base of metal design on the top. Metal design was thought to be cut steel but not sure if that’s true. It looks rusted. Cleaned with soap and water and some silver metal appeared. Some kind of polishing is needed to bring out the beauty of this hairpin. Base of metal design appears to be glued on to some kind of base before applied to horn. Horn prongs are uneven.
Measures 2 5/8” x 4 3/4”. In average vintage condition.#1226
