Huge Rainbow Moonstone Cabochon Pear Shaped

These photos were not retouched or color enhanced in any way and they are an actual representation of how the stone photographs in sunlight. Lighting and viewing angle play an important part in how this stone’s color flashes. Please examine all photos.
This gemstone has naturally occurring imperfections and inclusions that are typically found in natural gemstones such as surface striation lines, rough spots and fissures.
This is a beautiful huge Rainbow Moonstone Cabochon. It is a huge pear shape and would be perfect for making a statement pendant project. The black patches in the stone are BLACK TOURMALINE that has naturally inter grown with the Rainbow Moonstone.
Photos were taken outside in natural daylight and photos #2 and #3 were taken indoors to show the color of the gemstone in different lighting situations.
THIS RAINBOW MOONSTONE HAS DIRECTIONAL FLASH. This means that in order to see the rainbow colors in the stone, it has to be viewed at certain angles for the color to flash. IT DOES NOT HAVE FULL ON FRONT FLASH.
Rainbow Moonstones are WHITE stones that “flash” colors when viewed in certain lighting situations such as bright sunlight and some indoor lightings. When they are not flashing, their base color is a whitish grayish color as seen in photos for those of you not familiar with Rainbow Moonstone properties.
MEASUREMENTS - This huge Rainbow Moonstone Cabochon is approximately 63 mm tall and 40 mm wide at its tallest and widest points. It is approximately 5 mm deep.
